Why Meditation is Good for You

An exercise called meditation is one of the best ways to reduce anxiety and stress in general. I will tell you why meditation is good for you.

It is also a good exercise to use when battling obsessive-compulsive disorder.

So let me tell you the main reasons why meditation is good for you and why you should meditate daily.

1. More Relaxed Body

One of the best benefits of meditation is a more relaxed body.

It is very important for your body to be relaxed as much as possible when battling an anxiety attack.

Annoying anxiety symptoms like trembling can be increasingly reduced while practicing meditation daily. The more you meditate, the less you tremble.

You actually don’t have to be alone in a dark room and in a quiet environment to actually do meditation.

I can meditate everywhere. Even if I was in some club with my friends, I could meditate. But as a beginner, you should first start meditating in some peaceful place.

2. Calm Mind

This is my favorite benefit of meditation.

This can help a lot with obsessive-compulsive disorder. When you meditate, you quiet your mind. There is no stress, there are no problems in the world whatever they are, only a calm neutral mind.

You connect with your being. You just be. Many beginners confuse meditating with trying to make their thoughts completely disappear.

Thoughts will never disappear. They will always be present in your mind whatever you do.

The point of meditation is for you to neutrally observe your thoughts.

Observe them while they come and go. Don’t pay attention to them. Don’t identify yourself with them and don’t try to argue with them. Keep in mind that they are just harmless thoughts.

3. Breathing

Breathing is one of the best techniques and benefits of daily meditation.

When you learn how to properly breathe, your anxiety symptoms will be reduced a lot.

Breathing starts and ends with you being conscious which is another main point of meditation.

You have to be aware that you are breathing.

Also you have to learn how to properly breathe.

When you are aware of your breathing, you are conscious, and when you are conscious, you are completely in the present moment.

And there is no more beautiful place than being in the present moment, completely free of your thoughts.
