Borderline personality disorder or simply BPD is a serious disorder. Very serious.
Some of the main signs of this psychiatric condition are mood changes, unstable relationships, no formed sense of identity, feeling empty or bored, etc.
People with BPD have a big fear of being abandoned by people they love and care about. They have a big fear of being left all alone in the world.
Due to this fear, people with BPD have a destructive behavior, so big that they would even become suicidal. Obsessive uncontrollable thoughts are a big symptom of BDP.
Some of the biggest and the most important symptoms of this disorder are destructive behaviors, uncontrollable thoughts, uncontrollable emotions, relationship problems, loss of the sense of self, and so on.
People who have BPD also often have depression and disorders such as anxiety or eating disorder.
Borderline personality disorder often develops during adolescence.
The reason for this is often some forms of trauma or problematic behaviors from people close to them. But BPD can also be genetic. Perhaps someone in the family had it and that causes the relative to have it too.
Borderline personality disorder is actually very treatable, and that is good. Dialectical behavior therapy is the best therapy for BPD. Exercise or having enough sleep should also help.
The book that I would suggest to people with borderline personality disorder is called The Power of Now written by Eckhart Tolle.
That book should also be read by any person with or without BDP in my honest opinion.
It is one of the most helpful books of all time. This book will change your life for the better.
